Academic Director, BA in History

Bryan has taught classes, led schools, managed accreditation, and developed therapeutic programs from the ground up. Bryan’s education focused on History, Secondary Education, and School Administration.


Bryan is married with one child. Most of his free time is spent hiking, biking, kayaking or whatever outside activities he can bully his family into joining.

Kelli Carmack has been supporting youth and young adults in a variety of educational and therapeutic settings for over 13 years.  She attended Wilmington College of Ohio where she was a member of the women's basketball team and received her BA in Social Studies Education.  Kelli began her career working with youth in an alternative setting and has continued that path as an Emotional and Behavioral Disorders Teacher, Therapeutic Teacher, Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and Substance Abuse Wilderness Therapy Guide.  Throughout this journey she has created a variety of interventions to assist all youth in understanding their gifts and utilizing them to create positive change in the world. Kelli serves as the Team Teacher for Magnolia Team.  



Ben began teaching with Timbersong in the summer of 2014, and cannot imagine himself anywhere else. His previous work experience includes working in therapeutic outdoors programs as well as teaching math and psychology in traditional settings. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics. In his free time, Ben enjoys running, playing soccer, contra dancing, and computer programming.

Ryn Blecke
Head of School, MS

Ryn comes to Timbersong Academy with twenty years of experience as

a teacher and academic leader in therapeutic, public, and independent schools across the country. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University and her M.S.

in Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee. Her passion for creating engaging, student-centered learning environments led to her role as the founding Academic Den and Dean of Faculty at The Bay School of San Francisco, an innovative, college preparatory school in

California. The core of her work as an educator has always been about empowering students

and supporting them in becoming their best selves. This philosophy drew her to Timbersong Academy and she is thrilled to be a part of this community.
