Bonnie Richardson, MA
Bonnie has 10+ years of experience working in secondary schools and universities. Bonnie earned her Masters in Critical & Cultural Theory from Cardiff University in the U.K. and her B.A. in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Central Florida. Bonnie’s time teaching abroad has only further enriched her time in the classroom where she enjoys teaching English and tutoring in mathematics.
MA History and Language Arts Teacher
Prior to working with Timbersong, Shane taught in private school and community college settings with teens and young adults. He holds an M.A in History and a B.A. in History Education from Appalachian State University. Shane’s utmost passion is working with and challenging students through vigorous discussion and debate. Through sharpening his students' analytical and critical thinking skills, he hopes to prepare them to live and thrive in an ever-changing world.
Alexis Allen, M.Ed
Science Teacher and Learning Support Coordinator
Alexis has shared her love of math and science with students all over the world. She has taught with US Embassy Schools in China, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. Living overseas helped her realize her passion for working with diverse learners. Her teaching philosophy focuses on empowering students to feel confident and find the best in themselves. Alexis has an M.Ed and a post-masters degree in Special Education. She is thrilled to be a part of the Equinox community and the difference we are making in students’ lives.
Zach Allen, M.Ed
Science & Math Teacher
Zach teaches math and science classes at Timbersong’s Bat Cave campus. He loves using creative project based learning activities to engage and challenge students. Zach believes that empowering students through their academic experience is a critical part of their journey. He enjoys the opportunity to build a rapport with students.
